Rock Mill (Mill in the picture built in 1824 by Christian Morehart)
Rock Mill, the first mill built in Fairfield County, Ohio and one of the early mills in Ohio. It was originally built in 1787 by Joseph Loveland and Hezekiah Smith. The mill you see in this picture was built in 1824 by Christian Morehart. The picture was taken circa 1902 (note the chimney for the steam engine on the right). It closed circa 1907.
